IEA - Empowering Cities for a Net Zero Future


International Energy Agency (IEA) has included the condominium in Via Cittadella 19 in Pinerolo, the first collective self-consumer (AUC) in Italy, in its report "Empowering Cities for a Net Zero Future", as a benchmark in the field of energy transition. The document was presented in support of the Italian Presidency of the G20, during the Ministerial Meeting for Environment, Climate and Energy held in Naples on 23 July 2021. The AUC of Pinerolo is cited as an example of a renewal system that places people at the center making them more aware and active in managing their energy consumption, together with other case studies located around the world, from Baltimore to New Delhi. The condominium, made efficient by the Energheia project, join Venture between Tecnozenith and Acea Energie Nuove, was also a case study for a European H2020 project, in collaboration with the Energy Center of the Polytechnic of Turin.
